About Us / Quality Assurance

How do you ensure product quality?

Before leaving the factory, our power tools undergo a series of rigorous tests to ensure their safety, reliability, and service life.

These tests fall primarily into the following categories:

I. Electrical Safety Testing

This is the most critical testing category, as it directly concerns user safety and the prevention of electric shock accidents. All power tools must pass these tests 100% before leaving the factory.

Insulation Resistance Test:

Measures the insulation resistance between live parts and the tool housing to ensure the insulation material performs effectively.

Leakage Current Test:

Measures the leakage current from the tool housing to the ground during normal operation to ensure it remains within safe limits.

Start-up Test:

Verifies that the tool starts correctly at low voltage (e.g., 85% of rated voltage), ensuring reliable operation during voltage fluctuations.

II. Mechanical Performance and Structural Testing

These tests ensure the tool's physical structure is robust and well-designed, maintaining stability and reliability across various usage scenarios.

Appearance and Structural Inspection:

Checks the housing for cracks or burrs, verifies the secure installation of components (switches, screws, etc.), and confirms the effectiveness of safety guards.

01

Power, Speed, and Torque Testing:

Verifies that performance parameters-such as input power, no-load speed, and output torque-match the specifications on the nameplate.

02

Mechanical Hazard Inspection:

Checks the reliability of guards for moving parts (e.g., saw blades, drill bits) to prevent accidental contact by the operator.

03

Power Cord Pull and Flex Testing:

Simulates the pulling and bending experienced during daily use to verify the security of connections and the durability of the cable.

04

Drop Test:

Ensures product stability during use or long-distance transport; tests the product (or packaged finished unit) by dropping it from a specified height to check for structural integrity, durability, and the preservation of performance and appearance.

05

III. Durability and Service Life Testing

  • These tests evaluate the tool's lifespan and reliability under prolonged or rigorous use, serving as a key indicator of product quality. No-load/Load Durability Testing: The tool is operated for an extended period (e.g., 12 or 100 hours) at rated or specific voltage using a "run-stop" cycle (e.g., 30 seconds of operation followed by a 90-second pause) to evaluate the wear resistance and lifespan of core components such as the motor, switch, and gearbox.
  • Switch Durability Testing: Simulates the service life of the switch under frequent operation, such as conducting ≥50,000 on/off cycle tests.
  • Battery Performance Testing (for cordless tools): Tests the battery pack's charge/discharge efficiency and cycle life, and verifies the proper functioning of overcharge and over-discharge protection features.

IV. Environmental and Material Adaptability Testing

Ensures the tool functions correctly in various harsh environments (e.g., high temperature, humidity, or corrosive conditions).

  • Heat and Temperature Rise Testing: Simulates continuous tool operation under rated load and measures the temperature rise in critical areas such as motor windings and the housing.
  • Moisture and Weather Resistance Testing: Subjects the tool to a high-humidity environment (e.g., 93% relative humidity) for a specified period, followed immediately by insulation performance testing to verify safety in damp conditions.
  • High/Low Temperature and Damp Heat Testing: Subjects the tool to temperature cycling (ranging from -20°C to 55°C) or high-temperature/high-humidity environments to verify operational stability.
  • Salt Spray Corrosion Testing: Subjects metal components to salt spray testing to evaluate corrosion resistance.
  • Heat Resistance and Flame Retardancy Testing: Evaluates the heat deformation resistance and flame retardant properties of non-metallic external parts and thermoplastic materials used to support current-carrying components under high-temperature conditions.

V. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing

01/

Ensures the tool does not generate excessive electromagnetic interference that could affect other equipment, while also ensuring it can withstand a certain level of external interference.

  • Electromagnetic Interference Testing: Measures whether high-frequency interference signals emitted by the tool-either conducted through power lines (conducted disturbance) or radiated through space (radiated disturbance)-fall within specified limits.
  • Electromagnetic Susceptibility Testing: Simulates the tool's ability to maintain normal operation when subjected to disturbances such as electrostatic discharge or power grid surges. VI. Chemical and Material Safety Testing
02/

This category of testing focuses on the safety of the materials themselves-a critical factor, especially for products intended for export.

  • RoHS Testing: Verifies whether the levels of hazardous substances, such as lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd), comply with RoHS directive requirements.
  • Material Toxicity Testing: Measures the migration of toxic or harmful substances (such as plasticizers) from components likely to come into contact with the human body.

VII. Supplementary Note: Routine Testing vs. Verification Testing

Buyers should also be aware that factory testing generally falls into two categories:

  • Routine Testing: A 100% inspection performed on every unit at the end of the production line, primarily covering electrical safety parameters (e.g., withstand voltage, grounding) and basic functional checks.
  • Verification Testing: A more comprehensive inspection conducted periodically on samples taken from finished goods to confirm ongoing compliance with standards; this covers most or all of the aforementioned test items.

Understanding these factory-level tests helps buyers conduct more targeted inspections and ensures that the products received meet expectations regarding quality and safety.
