Daily Maintenance of Angle Grinders

Cleaning: After each use, disconnect the power and allow the tool to cool down. Clean any metal dust from the tool body and air vents; accumulated dust can block the vents, leading to motor overheating and burnout.

Carbon Brush Inspection (for brushed models): Periodically check the wear level of the carbon brushes and replace them if they become too short. Excessively worn brushes can cause heavy sparking, which may damage the commutator.

Grinding Disc Storage: Store grinding discs in a dry, dark place. Keep them laid flat, and ensure they are not subjected to pressure or moisture, which could cause internal (hairline) cracks.

Gearbox Maintenance: Regularly check the grease in the gearbox. Replenish the lubricant as needed after extended use to minimize gear wear and prevent abnormal noise.

Power Cord Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord for cracks or damage to the outer insulation. If any damage is found, stop using the tool immediately; do not attempt to continue operation by simply wrapping the cord with tape.

Long-term Storage: Clean the entire tool and store it in a dry, well-ventilated indoor area. Remove the grinding disc and store it separately to prevent it from becoming deformed due to prolonged pressure.
