Technical Specifications Of The Cordless Drill

The technical specifications of cordless drills include voltage (common series include 3.6V, 10.8V/12.0V, and 18.0V), battery type and capacity, chuck capacity, maximum torque, no-load speed, and weight. Taking the LaoA 12V lithium cordless drill as an example: it features a 12V voltage, a 12V 1400mAh lithium battery, a chuck capacity of 0.8–10mm, a maximum torque of 18–25 Nm, a no-load speed of 0–500 rpm, and a weight of 1.19 kg.

High-end or professional models may offer superior specifications-such as maximum torque reaching 150 Nm, no-load speeds exceeding 2000 rpm, and a wider chuck capacity range-though specific parameters vary by model and brand.

Some professional models also incorporate smart features, such as electronic angle detection and kickback control, to enhance operational precision and safety. Additionally, the battery systems of certain cordless drills support compatibility across tools of the same voltage class, or even allow for cross-brand sharing.

Common operating modes for cordless drills include screwdriving, standard drilling, and impact drilling, designed for driving screws, drilling into wood or metal, and making holes in lightweight walls, respectively. The torque adjustment collar typically features multiple settings; torque values between 10 and 15 Nm are commonly used for screwdriving, while the second gear in standard drilling mode can reach speeds of approximately 1700 rpm.
