Safety Instructions for Angle Grinders

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety goggles, a dust mask, and non-slip gloves during operation; cut-resistant workwear is also recommended. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry, and ensure long hair is tied back to prevent it from being caught in the machine.

Accessory Inspection: Before use, check the grinding disc for cracks, chips, or deformation. Ensure the disc specifications match the machine; never mount a large-diameter disc onto a low-power angle grinder. The safety guard and side handle must be properly installed and never removed.

Pre-operation Checks: Inspect the power cord and plug for any damage. Run the tool at no-load for 30 seconds to check for abnormal vibrations or unusual noises. The spindle lock is intended solely for changing discs; never engage it while the tool is running.

Operational Guidelines: Hold the tool firmly with both hands and maintain the correct grinding angle. Never use a cutting disc for lateral (side) grinding, as this can easily cause the disc to shatter. Avoid applying excessive pressure, which could cause the disc to jam and lead to kickback.

Work Environment: Keep the tool away from flammable or explosive materials, as metal grinding generates high-temperature sparks. Do not use corded angle grinders in damp conditions or in the rain.

Shutdown Procedures: After releasing the switch, wait for the disc to come to a complete stop before setting the tool down. Do not drag the tool by its power cord. Never place the tool on the ground or on a workpiece while it is still running.

Troubleshooting: If you notice abnormal vibrations, smoke, or unusual noises, disconnect the power immediately and stop using the tool. Do not resume use until it has been inspected and repaired.
