The lithium battery interfaces commonly found on power tools today generally fall into three categories:
Snap-in Interface
Features a latching mechanism; the latch automatically locks the battery in place upon insertion to prevent loosening. To remove the battery, simply press the latch for quick release-making it very easy to use. This type is commonly found on portable household power tools such as electric screwdrivers and small angle grinders.
Rail-style Interface
The battery features matching guide rails that ensure precise alignment during insertion, guaranteeing stable and accurate electrical connections. This design is suitable for large, high-torque, and heavy-duty power tools, such as industrial-grade drills and handheld power saws.
Magnetic Interface
Uses magnetic attraction to connect the battery to the tool, offering exceptional convenience for installation and removal along with a secure, well-sealed connection. This type is typically used for small, lightweight power tools, such as certain models of electric toothbrushes and mini handheld grinders.
